Last day in Nanchang

October 16, 2006

Well my time in Nanchang is coming to an end. Which means it is getting closer and closer to the time when we get to come home to see my wife and kids and the first chance for Grace to meet all of them in person. We have been able to get a little bit of a head start with the daily web cam visits, but I know what we are missing, because I have been away for almost 2 weeks and I miss my wife and my boys alot. My puppies and kitties too. Today was a wrap up the shopping and see what you have haven't seen yet day. Sooooo...we headed out to some stores hot shopping spots that we have been too already so we could pick up some last minute items. We hit the Free Market, Mickey D's , Walmart Supercenter and Porcelain street Again. We also ate at the restaurant next to the hotel again. Just for an Idea, we had 4 adults and 2 kids and we accidentally ordered too much food and came back with 6 boxes of left-overs. The whole thing cost about $15.00 and that also included 2 beers. What a bargain. Also it was a very nice sit down restaurant. Need some of those in the States. We ended up having a little bit of drama today. We recieved word that the orphanage director for the Tonggu SWI got in trouble for letting us into the orphanage and taking us to lunch. The rule I had talked about before was actually put into affect on Jan 1st of this year, I think by the CCAA. Someone saw or figured out what he did and reported him and now they are going to put an article in the Newspaper telling everyone what he did and how other Directors should not do what he did. I feel bad for what happened and I hope that everything is going to be alright. Well I'm packed and pretty much ready to go so yall have a good one!! In the words of Gracie, Bye Bye P.S. this note is here to ensure that Jen L is reading the blog. Ha Ha!
